Skin and Laser Terms and Conditions

TERMS AND CONDITIONS  
Skin and Laser Treatments 
  1. Clients must have an initial skin consultation with one of our skin therapists before any new skin and/or body treatment is undertaken. 

  2. Clients are required to arrive 10 minutes prior to their scheduled appointment time to ensure all appointments run on time. For initial appointments, clients are required to arrive 15 minutes prior to their scheduled appointment time to fill out a consent form.

  3. Clients are to reschedule or cancel an appointment by:

    • calling reception on (03) 9794 5135 (if before or after business hours, please leave a voicemail message); or
    • emailing reception@bfhw.com.au; or
    • sending a message through the Momence App.

  4. If a client is more than 15 minutes late for their appointment, their appointment will be cancelled resulting in a $50 late fee being charged to the client. 

  5. Clients are required to advise Body First Health and Wellness if they are pregnant, have any allergies, have a skin condition, are taking any medication, undergoing any medical treatment, have any medical condition or of any other factor which would be relevant. 

  6. Body First Health and Wellness have the right to refuse to perform a treatment or service or supply a product to a client based on the information provided by the client in clause 4 above. 

  7. Clients should follow all before and after care instructions provided and home practices recommended by the treating therapist including product use, for best results.

  8. Our Cancellation, Rescheduling and No Show Policy applies to all skin and body treatments. 
 
Laser Hair Removal Treatments 
  1. Clients must have an initial skin consultation and test patch with one of our skin therapists at least 48 hours prior to their first laser hair removal treatment.

  2. Appointments must be scheduled for all laser hair removal treatments. 

  3. Full payment is required upon booking for all laser hair removal treatments. 

  4. Clients are required to arrive 10 minutes prior to their scheduled appointment time to ensure all appointments run on time.  For initial appointments, clients are required to arrive 15 minutes prior to their scheduled appointment time to fill out a consent form or any other relevant form. 

  5. If a client is more than 10 minutes late for their appointment, their appointment will be cancelled resulting in a deduction of a credit (treatment/session) from the client’s account. If you are running late, please call the studio to let our team know.

  6. For full body laser hair removal treatments, clients have the option to exclude specific areas from their treatment. Clients are required to inform staff when booking an appointment and upon arrival for appointment about any areas they wish to exclude from their full body laser hair removal treatment. No discounts apply for excluded areas. 

  7. Areas included in laser hair removal packages cannot be divided between appointments. 

  8. Laser hair removal packages cannot be combined with any other offer or promotion. 

  9. Laser hair removal packages must be used within 12 months of purchase. Purchase of 10 or more treatments must be used within 18 months of purchase. 

  10. Laser hair removal packages cannot be transferred to another client and cannot be shared between multiple clients. Body First Health and Wellness reserves the right to request Photo ID. 

  11. Clients are required to advise Body First Health and Wellness if they are pregnant, have any allergies, have a skin condition, are taking any medication, undergoing any medical treatment, have any medical condition or of any other factor which would be relevant. 

  12. Body First Health and Wellness has the right to refuse to perform a treatment or service or supply a product to a client based on the information provided by the client in clause 11 above. 

  13. Clients should follow all before and after care instructions provided and home practices recommended by the treating therapist including product use, for best results. 

  14. Our Cancellation, Rescheduling and No Show Policy applies to all laser hair removal treatments. 

EXPIRY OF TREATMENTS

Skin and body treatments: 
1-3 treatments = 4 month expiry 
4-6 treatments = 6 month expiry  
7-12 treatments = 12 month expiry   
 
Laser hair removal treatments:  
1-3 treatments = 4 month expiry 
4-6 treatments = 12 month expiry 
7-12 treatments = 20 month expiry  
 
CANCELLATION, RESCHEDULING & NO SHOW POLICY 
  1. Clients are required to provide at least 24 hours notice if rescheduling or cancelling an appointment.  

  2. If an appointment is cancelled with less than 24 hours notice or a client does not show up for a scheduled appointment without prior notification, the 25% deposit paid by the client forfeited or a credit (treatment/session) will be deducted from the client’s account. 
 
REFUNDS AND GIFT CARDS/VOUCHERS 
  1. If a client wishes to obtain a refund for a sale package where sessions/credits/treatments have already been used, the sale promotion will be removed and normal per session prices will apply.  In such instances, the client will receive a refund of the balance credit on their account after normal per session prices have been deducted for sessions used. 

  2. If a client wishes to obtain a refund for an individual treatment/session/credit it will be in accordance with Australian Consumer Law.  

  3. Refunds for products and services will be provided within 14 days of purchase. Products must not be opened and in original condition.

  4. If a service or product is faulty, a treatment or session will be credited to the client’s account, or a refund will be provided to the client. (Each situation will be assessed case by case and a refund or credit will be provided at the discretion of management).  

  5. We do not provide refunds for change of mind.  

  6. Refunds may take up to 14 business days to be processed. 

  7. All gift cards/vouchers are non-refundable and cannot be redeemed for cash. 

  8. All gift cards/vouchers expire 3 years from the date of purchase.
